Opening Celebration: Two Becomes One by Julie Ellitt
About the exhibition
As an artist, I’ve been taking photos for years and constantly strive to improve and find new ways to make my images unique and meaningful.
Blending two of my photos together has become a recent fascination of mine, starting with capturing them in a camera and then searching through my catalogue for matching images.
It’s a work in progress, but the resulting photos are intriguing and encourage the viewer to examine the picture closely and uncover the blended elements. It’s a creative way to tell a story through photography.
About the artist: Julie Ellitt
I discovered photography at the age of 16 as a way to express myself without fear of judgment. Growing up with dyslexia, learning to read and write was a challenge that I overcame with my mother’s help, and “Dr. Dolittle” became the first book I read, sparking my love for animals.
My passion for nature and its subjects, especially flora and fauna, grew alongside my photography skills. Animals are like children, trusting and open, and it’s our responsibility to be kind to them. I hope that my art speaks for me and that others can appreciate my vision and love for the natural world we share.
