As the Lunar New Year approaches, the City of Sydney is gearing up to commemorate the Year of the Dragon in a unique and memorable way. In this spirit, ‘I Am a Dragon’ is an extraordinary video project that aims to celebrate the distinctive traits of individuals born in the Year of the Dragon. If you were born in 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, or 2012, we want to hear from you!
How Can You Get Involved?
Participating in this vibrant project is easy and fun! All you need to do is answer a few short questions in front of the camera, sharing your experiences and reflections about being born in the Year of the Dragon. Your personal stories will be the heart of this exciting video, bringing joy and inspiration.

Filming for ‘I Am a Dragon’ will take place during September and October 2023. The video will be released online in the lead-up to and during the Sydney Lunar Festival 2024, allowing people from all walks of life to join in the celebration of this auspicious Year of the Dragon.
